Raw grade B ambergris, for home perfumery. Ambergris is a rare substance, gathered on beaches and aged for years by salt, sun and sea before it develops its singular scent: marine, musky, animalic, with woody, burnt and sometimes fruity accents.
Grade B is a little darker and bolder than grade A, with a powerful scent and an assertive character. Ideal for anyone who wants to compose their own tinctures and scented oils.
Format: small piece, weighed by hand.
How to use it:
- Grate or grind the piece finely
- Let it macerate in strong alcohol (tincture) or in vegetable oil for several weeks, shaking now and then
- Filter, then use a few drops as a base note in your perfumes
A tiny piece scents a whole bottle. Keeps indefinitely in an airtight container, away from light.
