Pinus sylvestris: raw, ethically harvested resin from the forests of Québec. Hand-gathered in the Laurentians, sorted, then aged for 2 years — time for it to harden, dry and develop its aroma.
The resin comes in amber tears and chunks, sometimes still a little soft at the core. Its scent is clean and resinous, with notes of warm honey and forest floor; it releases as soon as it is warmed or crushed.
These resins can serve as a base ingredient for:
- Ointments, oils and macerates (infuse in vegetable oil over a gentle double boiler or in the sun for several weeks)
- Salves and lip balms, with a little wax
- Incense, burned on charcoal one small piece at a time
- Natural varnishes and glues
Tip: warm avocado or sunflower oil dissolves the resin well; a little oil or strong alcohol is all you need to clean your tools. Keeps indefinitely in a closed container, away from heat.
Our products are artisanal plant-based preparations. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
