Populus Maximus — Poplar Bud Oil

I found the tree of youth!

Walking the woods one spring, I came upon an abundance of buds from this majestic tree, knocked to the ground by the intense spring storms we had just been through. This very special bud holds an aroma of rare richness and complexity. After years of training my nose on the subtleties of the extracts I make, I can tell you the scent of this bud is like nothing else I know: warm, balsamic, almost honeyed, intoxicating.

Meet Populus balsamifera, the balsam poplar. The dried bud lends itself beautifully to several kinds of extraction, and in oil it is phenomenal!

Contains: Populus balsamifera buds macerated in organic deodorized sunflower oil. Comes with a dropper.

The macerate is concentrated: a tiny amount is enough, and 4 drops cover the face. Keeps for 2 years; it is always best to store it in the fridge, since it contains no preservatives, only the concentrated, undiluted extract, exactly the way we like it!

Common uses: as a face and neck oil, a few drops warmed between the hands; on hands and cuticles; in the hair, for the fragrance; a few drops on the inside of the wrists, simply to breathe in the scent of spring.
